August Truth wines focus on varietals that thrive in the cooler climates of Northern California's premier coastal appellations perfectly situated between the cold Pacific Ocean and the hot inland valleys. Each year we choose notable hand-tended vineyards in ideal locations to produce our special Pinot Noir and Chardonnay which exemplify "wines nurtured by the sea."

Dark and brooding black fruit dominates the nose with hints of cherry and florals. Depth and complexity on the palate complemented by good acidity and subtle tannins lead to a long, lingering finish.

ANDERSON VALLEY, HEIN VINEYARD
This wine expresses beautiful layers of red berry fruit with hints of earth, cola and spice. The nose opens up in the glass showing cranberry, cherry and strawberry notes. Well integrated oak provides structure as a solid oceanic acidity drives to a lush and lingering finish.

SONOMA COAST, SPLIT ROCK VINEYARD
This crisp, Burgundian-style wine opens with delicate and lovely honeyed-melon and crème brulee notes followed by subtle tropical pineapple undertones. The wine has a wonderful viscosity without being heavy from oak and butter flavors. There is a long, lingering finish with continued hints of tropical flavors.
