A balanced and delicate Chardonnay built around a core of green apple with hints of lemon-lime and the telltale pear skin associated with Split Rock. Nicely preserved natural acidity. Our crisp base allowed us to incorporate just over 25% new French oak for palate weight and an extra layer on the nose.

Despite the chilliest growing season in history, we were able to extract a dense bouquet of wet stone, cola and spice. the youthful nose will continue to develop over the coming years. The palate paints a different picture. Here, a crisp acid profile lifts flavors of spiced raspberries and briar patch.

This crisp, Burgundian-style wine opens with delicate and lovely honeyed-melon and crème brulee notes followed by subtle tropical pineapple undertones. The wine has a wonderful viscosity without being heavy from oak and butter flavors. There is a long, lingering finish with continued hints of tropical flavors.
